“You have a place in my heart no one could ever have.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
Jordan and Sarah could never have a quote that fit them more perfectly in a million years.
Married in a 100 year old barn, decorated in a rustic fashion that matched their backyard reception and surrounded by their closest friends and family, their wedding truly showcased who Jordan and Sarah are as a couple: Simply in love.
While it was incredibly hot, there was nothing but smiles coming from anyone. The laid back theme of their wedding and their want for everyone to just have fun throughout the day definitely rang true during their reception when their dog, Tweed, jumped on the table during the evening prayer. There was a outburst of laughter from everyone and it set the tone for the entire night; Have fun.
Nothing short of fun was had during the reception, from uproarious laughter from all of the guests, to the dogs occasionally deciding they needed a quick dip in the pond. Plus, Jordan coming out in full firefighting gear to retrieve his brides garter was a surprise to everyone… but little did he know that Sarah had her own surprise, a new handgun she hid under her garter for her new husband. The look of shock, and love that came across Jordan’s face was definitely a highlight.
Though for me, I always say that capturing a couples portraits is the highlight of my day. From intimate moments during a first look all the way to sneaking off to a horse pasture to get some quick shots before the sun went down. I love that these two incorporated the denim jacket Sarah wore during their engagement session, and a plaid shirt. It just fit their entire day and I know they are images they’ve treasured. To say that this wedding will always hold a special place in my heart is an understatement. It was my first destination wedding and I will always be so honored to have captured such a gorgeous day for these two.
