So I’m sure you’re all tired of hearing about how this is my first year as a senior photographer, besides the one-off senior session, and I gotta say sorry not sorry! Like I’ve said before, my seniors have been OUTSTANDING! Literally the funniest, smartest, and most gorgeous souls ever. Since it’s the first month of 2018 I thought I’d feature one of my personal favorites of my fall senior sessions. Kathryn and I met originally when I was working for a coffee shop in Thief River Falls, MN when I first moved to the area, and I was totally a weirdo who asked her to model for me. She took a chance on me, which means so much more to me than she will ever know.
Now Kathryn is a senior at Lincoln High School (GO PROWLERS!) she’s on the TRF track team, and is a member of the National Honor Society. After high school she plans to get her RN and earn her BSN while working, while her end goal is to become a nurse practitioner she also wants to work as a traveling nurse. Now onto the fun questions and beautiful pictures!
What was your favorite part about working with BHP?
I had a lot of fun throughout my whole session. I had my dog with, and Acacia does an absolutely amazing job of making you comfortable and making your session fun and carefree! It was a great day just relaxing and messing around!
Did you have any favorite images from your session?
It’s hard to pick just one! A few of my favorites were: sitting with Riley in the floral dress, and then I loved all of the photos down by the water.
What are three tips you’d give to any upcoming seniors for their session?
1.Pick outfits and locations that really represent you or your interests-Acacia does an amazing job and will do the rest!
2. Don’t be nervous! Shooting your session is a lot of fun, so just be yourself and have fun with it!
3. Highlight your interests! I took a majority of pictures with my dog and am so happy to have them!
Describe your session experience in three words:
Exciting, Carefree, and Comfortable!
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
I would highly recommend Acacia to anyone! She is super friendly and personable and does such a great job with the pictures! I Absolutely loved working with her!
Thank you to Kathryn for such sweet words. Now for some more pictures! Riley was a huge focus during Kathryn’s session, I loved being able to include such a special member of her family with her. If you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of a huge dog person. Anyways, enjoy the rest of the images!
Don’t forget class of 2018, my spring dates are filling quickly and 2019 seniors book your sessions before summer, fall, and winter are all booked too!
xoxo – Acacia
